It was such a joy for me to participate in this event, because it was my parent’s 50th anniversary party! My parents support Spruce in so many ways behind-the-scenes and it was fun to have them on the party side of the business. Every single vendor went above & beyond to give them the most wonderful evening. Trailside is an easy venue to work with because the room looks great with so many different kinds of decor. My parents were only having about 100 guests, so we filled the extra floor space with lounge furniture and farm tables placed diagonally. Some candlelight, beautiful florals from LeFleur, live music by Projekts, Taste by Renee brought some amazing food, 50 years of family photo albums and it was a memorable evening with family and friends. Because these are our personal family photos, captured by Molly Dolores Photography, I’ve added a few captions! Enjoy!
The one request my mom had was that they would sit on the gray Edie Loveseat!
The Jane sofa along with the Valerie chairs make a great lounge – we brought out the family photo albums to share with guests!
Childhood photos – my sister and I!
The Audrey Sofa & Felicity Chairs – Audrey was the only burgundy piece in the room, but there were so many other shades of pink it fit right in!
My four year old nephew & 89 year old great-grandmother, Dora, after whom I named the Dora Harvest Tables!
Family photos – some were taken right off the wall of their house and we attached them with 3M Command strips. Also their original newspaper wedding announcement and catering bill.
Their original marriage license, wedding invitation and cake knife were displayed.
We had a wedding photo turned into a foam core, life-size cutout so guests could take a picture with the bride & groom.
My kids & nephew wth their grandparents!
Trailside can seat 250, but since we only had 100, we spaced the tables out quite a bit to fill up the space. It felt just right and not empty at all!
We used six brass candlesticks and four rose gold votives for each Dora Harvest Table.
Projekts created the perfect background music!
Exactly fifty years to the day!
Two of their groomsmen…still friends after all these years!
Vendors – I’ve already said this, but all these vendors were amazing: LeFleur Floral Design & Events, Taste by Renee, Trailside Event Center, Molly Dolores Photography, Projekts, I Do Events.
